How many gears does a Bayck have?

While putting together your electric bike in the configurator, you choose whether you want a Bayck with a front or middle motor. For both choices, this Baycks with Shimano 7 gears have been implemented. Shimano Nexus 7 hub gears are low maintenance and suitable for long distances and/or more hilly landscape

What type of gearing does a Bayck have?

The Bayck is equipped with a hub gear. Features of a hub gear are:

  • The shifting mechanism is neatly concealed in an aluminum sleeve in your rear wheel, making it virtually maintenance-free
  • Shift gears by means of a twist grip on the handlebars

What are the advantages of a hub gear?

  • Easy to adjust
  • In combination with the anti-rust chain and aluminum crankset very low maintenance
  • Switching is possible when you are standing still
